Taming the Inrush Current Monster: Preventing MCB Tripping in High-Density Outdoor LED Display Installations
Inrush current is the brief 10–100× surge an LED driver draws to charge its input capacitors at power-on. In high-density outdoor displays, thousands of drivers switching on together can exceed an MCB's trip curve and kill the whole wall. Fix it with staged power-on, inrush-limiting drivers, and correctly rated (Type C/D) breakers.
